Jungles, Mountains, Temples, Mosques
Hither and thither
Everywhere you wander
Streets to rivers
Petals to flowers
Searching for that elusive aroma
Like a musk meandering
You’re the Deer
You’ve the musk
Look within you’ll find Thee
Seeking out
What lies within
A fool’s folly
Is what you’ve become
Why are you lost?
What have you lost?
Searching The Lord
When within you lies The Lord
You’re the Ocean
You’re the Messiah
You’re the Prayer
You’re the Answer
You’re the Prophet
You’re the Epithet
Within you it’s always been
Yet to you it remains unseen
What’s within you
Is what’s within me
I am You
You are Me!
Unlock the doors to your mind
Open your heart to love
Be good, do good
And let the goodness flow
Like a river flows seamlessly
Let go of all delusions
Attachments are an illusion
Ignorance is the evil
Love is the only religion
Love leads to salvation
Love is transcendental
Love will set you free
Love will get you to Thee
Krishna, Allah are the same
Nanak, Buddha said the same
You and me, we are the same
Yet we fight over what’s right
Yet we kill and so many are dead
The same blood flows in your veins
The same blood that’s crimson red
Water is the essence of life
Without water there is no life
Melting glaciers, depleting ice
Polluting water, destroying life
Yet you think you are wise
Searching for water on Mars
Having depleted resources on Earth
You think you are smart
When simple facts you can’t grasp
Drop by drop, step by step
That’s the theory of evolution
Corruption, pollution at every level
And you’re calling it the solution
Water, air, land and wildlife
Wasted humans, wasted life
Nothing no longer is pure
No growth within but material growth
The more you have, the less it is
And you keep yearning for more
More and more of your needs
You want it all beyond what you need
So insatiable your thirst is
Quite a growth this is indeed
How can you forget
What you inherited at birth
The open skies, holy Mother Earth
Having taken all from her
Now you space travel
To find another Earth…
